ROLE SUMMARY We are currently recruiting for a Systems Integration Engineer to join our Systems Delivery team within the Research and Development department based in Dunfermline. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly motivated team of engineers working for a company who are the world leaders in retinal imaging products. You will be expected to liaise with different team members within the Systems team & other cross-functional teams. The role includes, but is not limited to, planning, coordination, performance evaluation, bench marking & documentation activities related to the Systems integration of complex ophthalmic imaging Systems. Regular tasks include contributions to Agile team’s objectives along with attending daily stand ups & other Agile ceremonies. You will report directly to the R&D Delivery Manager, and you will also be required to liaise with other team members within R&D, across the product line. You will be results oriented, driven, and dynamic, bringing energy to everything you do. You are passionate about continuous improvement and thrive working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Plan and carry out System integration activities in support of pre DV & DV activities. Participate in image capturing & data gathering to support development & beyond. Collaborate with members of a multidisciplinary engineering group to ensure that system integration tasks are carried out in timely and well-coordinated manner. Support debugging and route cause analysis for the issues during product development life cycle in agile development. Understand the latest software and hardware engineering principles and practices, such as methods and challenges of System integration. Support the continuous improvement of integration and performance evaluation processes, procedures, and tools. Support in the preparation of prototype systems to enable in-house and external clinical trials relating to new products and features. Assess existing infrastructure and system to identify room for upgrade and integration. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Degree level in Engineering Physics or related scientific/technical field, or equivalent education gained through work experience. Experience in System integration of a complex systems, preferably within a regulated industry and ideally in the medical device sector. Strong analytical & problem-solving skills. Team orientated, responsive and customer focused. An ability to work within tight deadlines and manage time effectively. Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
