Staff Nurse – Continence Service – NHS Scotland – Dunfermline

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a staff nurse to join our award winning Children and Young People’s Continence Service. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivated registered nurse who is committed to the provision of safe, effective child-centred quality care, who ideally has a genuine interest in helping children and young people overcome continence issues.

​​​​​​​Under the supervision of the Continence Nurse Team Leader and Nurse Manager, the post holder will be responsible for contributing nursing skills and knowledge in the care and management of children and young people with bladder and bowel dysfunction. You will ensure high standards of care are delivered.

You must be a registered nurse ideally with experience of working with children and young people. Previous experience of working within a community setting would be advantageous. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work as part of a multiagency team and independently. You will be given all appropriate training required to undertake this role and benefit from working alongside a team of knowledgeable, experienced staff and given the opportunity for ongoing professional development. We work closely with all our partners across Health & Social care, 3rd Sector as well as Education.
