Day to day, you’ll be responsible for leading and managing the bid process for your organisation. The wellbeing of the bid teams is of paramount importance, so ensuring that the team is properly resourced and supported is critical. You will lead the design and implementation of bids, working closely with customer facing opportunity and solution owners. Additionally, you will lead the development of Value Propositions and Win Strategies, utilising methodologies such as the Value Proposition Canvas and Shipley Winning Proposals to ensure that win themes are articulated appropriately across submissions. You will also lead and support Colour Team Reviews as required, and drive unbiased, objective analysis and decision-making during all bid phases and activities to ensure solutions clearly meet the customer’s needs. You will be responsible for ensuring that technical and commercial submissions are compliant and easy for the customer to navigate and score, and you will monitor and report on progress of opportunities to all stakeholders. Additionally, you will manage all bid resources, including internal and bought-in services, and manage the bid budget. You will also support Lessons Learned and Continuous Improvement activities and build strong collaborative networks across the wider organization to benefit both the sector and the function. Essential experience * Experience of leading and winning bids within the Aerospace and Defence industry * Strong Bid management experience with the ability to motivate and lead multi-functional teams * Experience of leading and working in winning bid teams * Experience of leading and participating in Colour Team Reviews * Experience of using Shipley Winning Business Methodology * Able to integrate multiple outputs from different functions and competency groups * Ability to present reviews to stakeholders at all levels of seniority * SC cleared, or willingness to undergo SC clearance prior to starting.
