The opportunity has arisen for individuals who are motivated and passionate about dementia and older adult mental health care to join our multi-disciplinary team. You will work alongside members of the multi-disciplinary team to deliver both psychological and clinical assessment, care and treatment day to day. As part of your role you will have an understanding of the complex relationship between the physical and psychological health and how this well being experienced and its impacts upon the persons physical and psychological wellbeing, safety and day to day functioning. A working knowledge of the legal frameworks utilised within this patient group is desirable with further training and development available. In line with local and national Dementia Strategies exciting dementia friendly developments are underway within the ward and opportunities for skills development are becoming available to develop and continue the high standard of quality care and outcomes.
You will be expected to work autonomously and flexibly within the team, providing support and mentorship to junior staff members including student nurses. Rotation across all shift patterns inclusive of night duty is an expectation of this role to provide continuity of care.
