Office Angels Livingston are collaborating with a client who are looking for a temporary Buyer/Procurement Specialist for approximately 3 weeks, based in Rosyth. Salary highly competitive plus excellent benefits. Standard office opening hours are Monday – Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Buyer/Procurement Specialist to join a fun and friendly team and company who thrives on using their initiative, implementing best practice, and improving processes.

Role Overview

As a procurement assistant, you will be responsible for full purchasing function of projects.

Duties include:

  • Manage relationships with existing and future suppliers
  • Understanding of purchasing processes
  • Negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations etc.
  • Liaise with suppliers and colleagues regarding updates and delivery dates of goods
  • Create purchase orders and agree these with supply requests and orders
  • Work closely with colleagues to understand details of procurement requirements and provide timely feedback to management

Skills and Experience required:

  • Proven and relevant corporate experience within procurement
  • Experience within energy/renewable components desirable but not essential
  • IT literate. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is essential – Excel and Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to take the initiative
  • Impeccable attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work
