Main Purpose of Job Contribute to the overall achievement of the Scottish Golf Strategy To provide excellent customer service and administrative support as directed by the Operations Manager To provide financial support to the Operations Manager as required Position in organisation: The post holder will be an employee of Scottish Golf Ltd and will report to the Operations Manager. They will work closely with colleagues across the whole organisation, providing key support to all departments within the business. Liaison will be required with a number of key external groups. Key Duties and Responsibilities: To support the Operations Manager with the end to end process for all sales and purchase ledger transactions, including posting in Accounting software and processing of payments To support the Operations Manager with month end reconciliations, including bank accounts and company cards Credit control and effective monitoring of all financial transactions against laid down company policies Undertake regular banking and petty cash control Undertake input and analysis, with particular attention to VAT coding per company guidelines To support the process for notification and collection of all member subscriptions Assist in year-end procedures and in preparation of Audit information Work in conjunction with the Operations Manager to facilitate all aspects of Health & Safety Work in conjunction with the Operations Manager to facilitate all aspects of the companies IT services Collaborate with colleagues within the Golf Operations team to ensure that all tasks are prioritised and actioned according to deadlines set Provide excellent customer experience to all stakeholders in delivery of support to the variety of services undertaken Financial responsibilities: None General Duties and responsibilities: To comply with all legislative requirements and company policies including but not limited to Child Protection, Health & Safety, Equality and confidentiality. Qualifications: Applicants should be able to demonstrate a proven track record in a similar role with a minimum of two years’ financial experience. Experience and Knowledge required: Previous financial administrative experience is essential Experience of working with a variety of partners is essential Strong customer service and people skills are essential NGB experience is desirable Golfing knowledge is desirable but not essential Able to prioritise and work on own initiative is essential Excellent IT skills, especially use of Excel and other project management tools are essential Key Competencies: The post holder must demonstrate the following: Excellent organisational skills Strong and adaptive communicator A strong understanding of accounting concepts Ability to build good relationships and work as part of a team Ability to effectively plan and organise your workload Ability to multi task, ensuring attention to detail in your output Ability to work on own initiative to resolve issues in an appropriate manner Self-motivation and self-discipline are essential Applications should include both CV and covering letter outlining your suitability for the role.
