The NDT Technician role is based within our Marine Engineering & Systems business area

At our site in Rosyth, we aim to deliver engineering-led and world-leading products and services across our engineering, specialised manufacturing, gas handling systems and naval marine businesses

The Role

The difference our new NDT Technician will make

As an NDT Technician you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Helping to maintain an integrity of components

Day to day, you’ll carry out NDT in accordance with SNT-TC-1A compliant NDT Programme, magnetic Particle Inspection of welds and machined components, liquid Penetrant inspection of welds and machined components, ultrasonic Inspection of welds and machined components and work in accordance with approved Procedures and Techniques

Essential Experience

Candidates shall have sufficient qualifications and experience to allow them to undergo additional project specific training to achieve certification under our SNT-TC-1A NDT Programme. This shall include the following:

• As a minimum hold PCN Level II in MT, PT, UT (3.1, 3.2, 3.8, 3.9)
• VT and RT Rad Interp PCN Level 2 preferable
• Experience of advanced Ultrasonic techniques Preferable
• At least 5 years continued experience in NDT
• Previous experience working in the nuclear industry (or similar highly regulated environment)
• Proven knowledge of the practices and standards associated with the NDT.
• Ability to read and understand technical standards and drawings.
• Obtain or have the ability to obtain SC Clearance
