Locum Clinical Psychologist – NHS Scotland – Dunfermline

NHS Fife are seeking a clinical psychologist (8A) for a 12 month fixed term post within the Older Peoples Clinical Psychology Service. You will have the opportunity to join a welcoming and friendly team who aim to provide high quality psychological and neuropsychological assessment and treatment for older people across Fife. Supportive supervision, professional guidance and line management are integral to the ethos of the team and central to maintaining the well-being and developmental needs of its members.

You will be based in Lynebank Hospital working with the Senior Principal Clinical Psychologist to provide high intensity and highly specialist psychological interventions and therapies to the older people of Dunfermline and West Fife. Older Peoples Clinical Neuropsychology Services are also in high demand and there are strong collaborative links with the local older peoples CMHT. Suitable candidates will be clinical psychologists registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), have experience of the delivery of evidence based psychological therapies to older people, and have experience providing advice and consultation on service users psychological care to our mental health multidisciplinary, and social care colleagues.

This is an opportunity to join a large (102wte) area-wide Psychology Service that includes all the major clinical specialities. The department is friendly, research-active and maintains a vigorous CPD programme. It has well-established links with the Universities of Edinburgh, Stirling and Dundee and provides placements for DClinPsychol trainees and trainees doing a range of clinically-based Masters programmes.
