M&E Draughtsperson required in Fife SOLIDWORKS CAD The Role:We have an exciting opportunity, for an engineering (M or E) Draughtsperson to join our clients busy Engineering department.They are a large engineering manufacturer looking for a Draughtsperson, you will develop the required skills to prepare complete documentation packages containing all drawings for the manufacturing, service, and repair of electrical machines. This could contain the mechanical layout of motor or generators, electrical and control diagrams. Drawings and documents prepared with the direction of Electrical and/or Mechanical Design Engineers. Duties & Responsibilities:* Support Product Development.* Prepare outline, electrical wiring diagrams, detail drawings machine components and all related documentation.* Proficient with Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) software applications such as SOLIDWORKS or MEDUSA 4/5.1 but will look at other applications.* Drawings designed under the direction of project engineer per project specifications. Such drawings might include but are not limited to:* Wiring diagrams – device point to point termination configuration.* Equipment mounting plates, drill plan details, and assemblies.* Produce Bill of Materials.* Prepare layout drawing of panel assemblies, apply critical dimensions to create new or modify existing designs.* Prepare project documentation and drawings per departmental standards and procedures.* Updating of manufacturing and engineering departmental procedures and standards.* Search and provide information on legacy drawings per customer requests.The Candidate* 2D / 3D CAD Software experience essential* Using your own initiative and having a good problem-solving ability* PC Knowledge and IT Skills essential* Personality is a big part of this company, so confidence and character and willingness to learn.* Open minded with no pre-conceived ideas on how to do things.
