An opportunity has arisen for progressive and innovative Community Mental Health Nurses to join the Older Adult Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in West Fife. The post holders will be based at Queen Margaret Hospital, West Fife.
Applicants are requested from Registered Mental Health Nurses who can demonstrate knowledge and skills gained from working with older adults in a range of mental health settings. Previous working within the community and lone working is not essential but would be an advantage.
We are seeking resilient individuals who take a positive and proactive approach to working in partnership with older adults and their carer to provide strengths based, person centred care and treatment. You will be committed to partnership working within the Multidisciplinary team and establishing strong working relationships with primary and secondary care services including third sector and voluntary organisations.
It is essential that you have excellent interpersonal, communication, organisation and time management skills.
You will work collaboratively to provide mental health assessment, treatment and care planning for older adults experiencing mental health difficulties in their own homes, clinics and digitally where appropriate. This post provides an opportunity to contribute and shape the development of the role within the multidisciplinary team.
You will receive a comprehensive induction to the service with an identified mentor who will provide clinical/caseload supervision and will support your educational development
The service operates within office hours Monday – Friday but applicants may be required to work one weekend every 8 weeks to support service delivery
