Main accountabilities

  • Performs in accordance with department instructions, ensuring that all design deliverables are in accordance with customer requirements, the project QHSE plan, and TechnipFMC processes and standards.
  • Works independently on standard product and directly works on complex design tasks or related activities at both component and system level.
  • Supervises less experienced engineering personnel by checking their 3D models and performs draft check of 2D drawings ensuring quality and efficiency of deliverables, and providing advice and assistance
  • Creates Conceptual Design Layouts from inception of design (from freehand sketch / verbal instruction / marked up layouts), Attends design reviews when required to support any CAD related questions. Input to the design discussions. Highlight task alterations and timescales slippage to CAD Lead and/or Design Engineer
  • Communication with relevant cross functional groups during tasks (e.g. CAD, Engineering, Manufacture Engineering, Commercial, etc.) and participate in cross functional teams and cross functional training. Provide feedback to the CAD and Engineering teams to assist with the execution of tasks when CAD Lead is unavailable.

    Skills Essential:

  • Relevant HNC in an Engineering discipline or equivalent
  • Skilled in manufacturing engineering
  • Skilled in ASME Y14.5
  • Skilled in Engineering Drawing, Dimensioning, & Tolerancing
  • Skilled in 3D Modeling and Drafting Standards (NX or Equivalent)
  • Desirable:

  • Knowledgeable in MS Office
  • Skilled in 2D CAD software (Microstation or Equivalent)
  • Knowledgeable in Surface Wellhead and Tree Technology
  • Knowledgeable in relevant industry codes (API 6A, ISO 9001, etc.)
  • Knoweldgeable in TechnipFMC core applications, databases, and processes (TCE, GWI’s, DGL’s, STD’s, Eng Toolbar, GBPMS, etc.)
  • Competencies Essential:

  • Strong design aptitude
  • Strong Communication skills in English, both verbally and written
  • Committed to essential QHSE fundamentals
  • Ability to work in a team-orientated and diverse cultural environment
  • Good organisational and problem solving skills.
  • Desirable:

  • Good Project Management Aptitude
  • Ability to transfer expertise and persuade
