Main Purpose of Job Contribute to the overall achievement of the Scottish Golf Strategy To champion a consistent approach and greater use of data across all Scottish Golf activities To develop and maintain systems and procedures to deliver a robust, meaningful and regular reporting system across all aspects of the organisation To develop and deliver our business intelligence approach Position in organisation: The post holder will be an employee of Scottish Golf Ltd and will report to the Head of Golf Operations. They will work closely with colleagues across the whole organisation, providing key support to all departments within the business. Liaison will be required with a number of key external groups. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Synthesise data from different sources to understand the landscape of Golf in Scotland. Analyse and interpret data to inform decisions on our programmes and services. Develop tools using Power BI and other data visualisation tools to share data with Scottish Golf staff and partners. Deliver training and tools to upskill Scottish Golf staff and partners in the use of data for planning and evaluation. Develop and deliver our business intelligence approach. Design data solutions for specific programmes and services. Responsible for data standards across our programmes and services. General Duties and responsibilities: To comply with all legislative requirements and company policies including but not limited to Child Protection, Health & Safety, Equality and confidentiality. Qualifications: Applicants should be able to demonstrate a proven track record in a similar role with a minimum of two years’ experience. Experience and Knowledge required: Experience of analysing and presenting data is essential Knowledge and/or experience of using Power BI or other data visualisation tools is essential Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, in particular Excel is essential Experience of working with a variety of partners is essential Analytic approach with ability to display data in effective formats is essential Able to prioritise and work on own initiative National Governing Body or Membership Organisation experience is desirable Key Competencies: The post holder must demonstrate the following: Strong and adaptive communicator with the ability to influence different audiences Analytic mind with an aptitude for data in a variety of formats Ability to build good relationships and work as part of a team Ability to effectively plan and organise your workload Ability to multitask, ensuring attention to detail in your output Ability to work on own initiative to resolve issues in an appropriate manner Self-motivation and self-discipline Commitment to self-improvement through learning and development Applications should include both CV and covering letter outlining your suitability for the role.
