Purpose of the Role

To provide CAD support from the Drawing office, produce engineering drawings and documents for various teams within Keller UK.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Operations

Produce drawings using AutoCAD/Revit and associated documents in support of various teams within Keller UK.

Create sketches/drawings as required by engineers.

Ensure all work produced meets the required standard and BIM standard and to maintain the drawing register and file electronically and manually as appropriate.

Ensure completion with agreed timescale’s.

Regularly liaising with project managers, lead technical staff/engineers, clients.

Assist project engineers with data input (e.g. co-ordinated setting out drawings and schedules).

Customer

Undertake close liaison with clients technical representatives to obtain key data in a timely and efficient manner.

Maintain and develop a strong customer focus in the timely provision of accurate drawings.

Ensure drawings are issued to site and clients in a timely manner.

Be responsible for efficient use of drawing office resources and equipment.

Experience/Skills/Qualifications/Personal Attributes

Minimum

Proven experience in a drawing office environment.

Experience in the use of 2D AutoCAD up to version 2014 and some experience in the production of 3D AutoCAD drawings with a desire to increase experience in this area.

Basic to Intermediate experience in the use of Revit.

IT literate and an intermediate level user of Microsoft Excel and Word.

Desirable

BTEC HNC/HND in a construction/engineering related subject.

Experience within the Construction Industry.

Experience in the production of 3D drawings using AutoCAD.

Some knowledge of BIM processes.

Personal Attributes

Excellent communication skills.

Flexibility to be able to carry out duties not part of the normal remit in the interests of the team.

Outgoing and Friendly.

Good eye for detail.

Take responsibility for the detailed content of the work.

Ability to meet short term deadlines while not losing a strategic focus.
